Silverstone unveils new F1 pits and paddock complex – The Wing

With a tight schedule the Pyrotec team including local fire extinguisher technician Darren Gray, commission serviced, installed and wall fixed over 250 fire extinguishers in the approved positions ready for the official launch on 17^th May 2011.

Once receiving the instruction from Silverstone, the fire extinguishers, which were made in the UK, were ordered, manufactured and installed within a 7 day period. Every fire extinguisher and fire blanket was numbered and recorded onto the site location list and added to the Pyrotec data base to allow future servicing and logging of the equipment.
