"Fire safety is a major part of Silverstone's overall safety plan and we are pleased to promote Pyrotec Fire Protection Ltd for ensuring our fire extinguishers are maintained to a high standard in readiness for any situation.

We have used Pyrotec since 2002 and continue to work closely with them to help maintain high safety standards throughout the whole Silverstone site, including the offices, buildings and the race circuit itself.

During major Race days including the Grand Prix around 1000 extinguisers are available should an incident occur. This in itself is a major task and it is important to Silverstone that every one has been serviced and ready for use.

Since 2004 we have also used Pyrotec's fire alarm Division, Pyrotec Fire Detection Ltd. Again, trusting Pyrotec to service and maintain the ten fire alarm systems throughout the site.

In addition they provide invaluable support to our training centre in the supply and refilling of fire extinguishers used in our operational and commercial training courses.
