When it comes to building construction, roof voids and cavity walls can pose a serious fire risk. This is because these cavities can act as a conduit through which fire and smoke can spread, much like a chimney. This is where fire barriers come in. Fire barriers are installed to seal gaps, ensuring that fire and smoke can’t spread through these cavities and into other compartments.
Here at Pyrotec, we use our third-party, IFC-certified sister company, Fire Industry Specialists Ltd (FIS), to carry out fire barrier installation throughout Brighton, Eastbourne and Crawley.
